Wondering where all your money is going? Fret not for there is just the right application which will give you the big picture of your expenses and investments in just one screen. I was looking for a handy application to monitor my daily expenses for I was sick and tired of spreadsheet applications. Enter Jabplite a Java MIDP based application for the symbian 5th edition devices written by Malcolm Bryant of FreePOC and all my accounting needs were answered. Jabplite, as Malcolm Bryant puts it is a “sophisticated personal finance program” available across several mobile platforms. Its sophisticated for sure as I couldn’t make head and tail of the application till I went through the FAQs. However once I understood the basic terminologies, the application evolved from a geek box to my best buddy.
Installation
Jabplite is available as a free download from the developers of FreePOC at this link. You will find several low resolution screenshots of Jabplite here, but dont worry Jabplite wont look anything like that on your 5800. Please make sure that you download the right version for 5800 (Java Generic MIDP2 phone). Its also a good idea to download the zip file for it contains all the necessary documentation for using Jabplite on your mobile devices. I would suggest everyone to go through the FAQ section before using Jabplite on your phones.
Alternatively Jabplite can be downloaded directly on to your 5800s by pointing the mobile browser to wap.getjar.com, select quick download and enter quick download code 1060 for Jabplite.
